SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the start and stop vehicle system. In the method of operation of the start and stop system in vehicle with automatic clutch, output, during operation of the start and stop system, a command to lock clutch disengagement in response to the moment when the automatic clutch is closed and the brake system pressure variation in time or changing the height of the brake pedal position in time exceeds the threshold value. In another version, the lock command is generated when steering wheel turn angle variation in time exceeds the threshold value. In the following version it is generated during operation of the start and stop system, a command to lock clutch in response to the moment when the automatic clutch is open and steering wheel turn angle variation in time exceeds the threshold value.

EFFECT: improved operation of the start and stop system in terms of safety.
