FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to measurement of intraocular pressure, and can be used for measuring intraocular pressure in early posttraumatic period. Method includes generating analysed and reference signals while exposing eyes and frontal part of face to vibration sensor, which is brought closer to eye and frontal part of face until contact therewith and acts on eye and frontal part of face until disappearance of signal at output of vibration sensor. Vibration sensor is removed from eye and frontal part of face, bone tissue of which serves for stable measure. Normalised equivalent is amplitude-time calibrating characteristic with limit parameters, determination of which comprises successively measuring two amplitudes of analysed and reference signals at moments of time t1 and t2, from which are calculated limit parameters of analysed and reference characteristics: maximum amplitude and time constant, from which are approximated analysed and reference characteristics, differences of which are used to determine actual characteristic, from which intraocular pressure is determined.

EFFECT: method provides higher metrological effectiveness, particularly tonometry accuracy due to elimination of systematic and dynamic error.
