FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and can be used for eye tonometry. Affect the eye with a vibrating sensor. Approach the vibrating sensor to the eye before contact with it. Act on their eyes until the signal disappears at the output of the vibrating sensor. Remove the vibrating sensor from the eye and measure the amplitude of the signal at the output of the vibrating sensor. Normalized equivalent is the spectral calibration characteristic ƒ(ω) with amplitude parameters an, bn, which are formed by the Fourier transform of the amplitude-time characteristic approximated by the signal amplitudes. Comparing the amplitude parameters an, bn spectral characteristic ƒ(ω) with parameters an0, bn0 equivalent ƒ0(ω) of a healthy person, judge the ophthalmotonus.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in metrological efficiency, namely, the accuracy of tonometry due to the reduction of the methodological and the elimination of the dynamic error.
