WASTE GAS RECIRCULATION DEVICE FOR MOTOR VEHICLE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AS WELL AS WASTE GAS RECIRCULATION DEVICE OPERATION METHOD Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC F02M26/25 F02M26/33 F02D41/00

Abstract RU 2602021 C2

FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in internal combustion engines. Waste gas recirculation device (1) for motor vehicle internal combustion engine has first waste gas recirculation pipeline (4), branched from engine waste gas side (16) and made with possibility to lock using first locking device (2). First recirculation pipeline (4) is connected to engine air side (17) through waste gas cooler (5). Device has bypass as waste gas recirculation second pipeline (7) passing around cooler (5) of waste gas and made with possibility to lock using second locking device (6). Using second recirculation pipeline (7) waste gas can come back from engine to engine air side (17) without cooling. First recirculation pipeline (4) and second recirculation pipeline (7) forming bypass, are combined upstream of air adding point (23), in which air directed by air pipeline to engine air side (17) may be mixed with recirculating waste gas. Using of controlling and/or adjusting device amount of recycled exhaust gas is controlled by and/or controlled by controlling first and/or second locking devices (2), (6) depending on waste gas recirculation preset parameters. First recirculation pipeline (4) and second recirculation pipeline (7) are branched from engine waste gas side (16) by separate pipelines and come from them are directed to opposite engine air side (17). First recirculation pipeline (4) is longer as compared to second pipeline (7). First recirculation pipeline (4) is directed along engine up to second recirculation pipeline (7) inflow area located at air side, where first and second recirculation pipelines (4), (7) are drawn together in one mixing area. First and second recirculation pipelines (4), (7) are directed to engine air side (17) in area of and/or along opposite engine cylinder block end sides, respectively. Mixing area, in which first and second recirculation pipelines (4), (7) are brought together is formed by consistent if seen in direction of waste gas cooler (5) longitudinal length, with waste gas cooler (5) body area flange nozzle (19) located on end side, in which first recirculation pipeline (4) inflows, passing through waste gas cooler (5), and to which second recirculation pipeline (7) is connected.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of condensate prevention reliability and improvement of device compactness.
