FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial ecology and can be used for neutralization or processing of liquid wastes of galvanic production. Method for reduction of chromium(+6) in spent solutions includes mixing spent solution, containing chromium(+6), with reagent-reducing agent and holding obtained reaction mixture during time, sufficient for conversion of chromium(+6) in chrome(+3). Used reducing agent used is triethanolamine, which is a component of liquid wastes from production of metal coatings or became unserviceable for operation due to partial oxidation.
EFFECT: invention enables mutual neutralization of two types of toxic wastes, reduces expenses on environmental protection.
