FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to andrology, reproductive medicine and clinical embryology. Method for differentiation of living sperm cells in case of absolute asthenozoospermia within in vitro fertilization comprises using of diagnostic culture medium for differentiation of living sperm cells with higher pentoxifylline concentration of 3.6 mm/l and caffeine concentration of 5 mm/l. Substantial advantage of using of two components (caffeine and pentoxifylline) is more clinical cases, when it is possible to achieve short-term initiation of oscillating movements of a head/flagella, that leads to achieving optimum time for selection of living sperm cells and fertilization by ICSI.

EFFECT: using the developed culture medium allows clinical embryologist to simultaneously conduct simple differentiation of living germ cells and to perform fertilization by ICSI in the same Petri dish.
