FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics and immunology, and can be used for prediction of developing complicated clinical course of community-acquired pneumonia in children. For this purpose, growth cytokines' generation induced by S. pneumonia is examined in vitro: interleukin 1 (IL1, pg/mL), tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα, pg/mL), interferon γ (IFN γ, pg/mL), interleukin 17 (IL17, pg/mL), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF, pg/mL), chemokine MSR1 (monocyte chemotactic protein-1, pg/mL). If observing after stimulation increase of concentrations of interleukin 1 (IL 1), tumor necrosis factor α (αTNF) and interferon γ (γIFN) 1.5 times and more, typical course of community-acquired pneumonia is diagnosed. In the absence of IL 1 and αTNF and increase of interferon γ (γIFN), interleukin 1 (IL 17), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and chemokine MCP1 1.5 times and more, developing complications in children suffering from community-acquired pneumonia are diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention enables more effective prediction of complicated course of community-acquired pneumonia in children by determining immunological values, that makes it possible to determine the adequate therapeutic approach to reduce the length of treatment of patient.
