FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the development of distant metastases in the next four weeks in patients with unresectable triple-negative breast cancer. In the tumor microenvironment, lymphocytes expressing FOXP3 and CD8 markers are determined. In the culture of lymphocytes the level of spontaneous production of IL-10 and IL-8 is determined in pg/ml. The absolute concentration of cells with markers LIN-HLADR-CD33+CD66b-CD14+CD15- is determined in the blood. Based on the obtained values, discriminant functions are calculated and the development of distant metastases is predicted in the next four weeks.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict the development of distant metastases in patients with triple-negative breast cancer by assessing immunological parameters in the blood and tumor microenvironment by flow cytometry.
