SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to apparatus for repairing screens, used in oil, gas and drilling industry for separating solid particles of liquid phase of drilling mud on hydrocarbon and liquid base. Apparatus for repairing screens comprises a central frame and locking surface of screen frame, having a first extended shape. First extended shape is efficiently compressed to form a second compressed shape. Second compressed shape is efficiently returned into first extended shape. Apparatus is used to implement a method of blocking damaged areas of sifting or filtration screen, including insert of apparatus for repair in area of filter screen to be locked, while locking surface of screen frame is in its second compressed shape, returning locking surface of screen frame into expanded first shape. Apparatus for repair of screen is made by extrusion and cutting to required dimensions.

EFFECT: technical result is longer service life of screen.
