FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental surgery and pathophysiology, and concerns simulating of ulcerative colitis. Colon wall ischemia is made in male rats of “Wistar” line. For this purpose at the level of descending colon part over 3 cm from the base of bladder straight branches of left colon artery and cranial rectal artery are parietally separated, ligatured and transected with accompanying veins. After that, free access to food and 1 % solution of sodium sulphate dextran is maintained for seven postoperative days.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain a model of colon ulcerative colitis close to clinical course of the disease; wherein model reproducibility is 90 %.
