FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, in particular, to passive safety systems of land transport. Method consists in measurement of distance to obstacle using distance transducer. Then by means of electronic programmable unit relative speed of approach and probability of collision are evaluated. In case of danger of collision signals of drive wheels rotation speed and vehicle movement relative to the road surface respectively are taken from optical sensors, using which sequence of commands to actuators for performance of operations is generated in electronic unit: gripping of brake shoes, switching on rear speed, increasing engine speed, release of clutch, loosening of brake shoes, reverse disconnection at transport facility stop, dropping engine speed to idle, deactivation of back speed and repeated gripping of brake shoes.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of braking and safety of vehicle.
