FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of molecular weight markers for glatiramer acetate with a random amino acid sequence, similar to sequence of glatiramer acetate, comprising following steps: a) effect on a polypeptide mixture which is a mixture of polypeptides containing alanine, glutamic acid, tyrosine and lysine in same molar ratio as glatiramer acetate, by gel-penetrating chromatography/exclusion chromatography to obtain polypeptide fractions with molecular weight ranging from 2 kDa to 30 kDa; b) selecting polypeptide fractions, which will be used as molecular weight markers of said polypeptide fractions obtained at step a), so that one of fractions is top of molecular weight peak, and other fractions are distributed on both sides from top of molecular weight peak; and c) determination of polydispersity of said selected polypeptide fractions, where polydispersity of said selected polypeptide fractions must be less than or equal to 1.20.
EFFECT: obtaining molecular weight markers.
