FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. Electromagnetic wave plasma light source based on permeable for radiation of waveguide has structural element 1 from fused quartz and seamless drawn tube. Cover 2 with inner closed cavity is made of seamless drawn tube with outer diameter 8 mm and inner diameter of 4 mm. Inside said cover is sealed plasma material excited with electromagnetic waves. End plate 5 is circular and in its central bore is welded cover 2. Similar plate 6 is located, leaving small clearance between it and inner end of shell. Both tubes are concentric with both plates, stretching at right angle to their central axis. Outer tube 7 extends backward from back surface of internal plate 6 as skirt 9. Said design provides: ring resonator 11 between plates, around casing cavity and within outer tube; recess 13 for skirt. In recess for skirt is unit 14 in form of straight circular cylinder made of aluminium with dimensions that allow fitting to slide in recess. Antenna 18 with T-shaped key head is enclosed in channel 15 and 16 groove in block of aluminium oxide. Structural element 1 of quartz and unit 14 of aluminium oxide are enclosed in a faraday cage 20 extending at structural element, in end plate 5 and back along outer tube throughout resonator 10. Cage has non-perforated skirt 22 extending back by 8 mm further from quartz skirt 9.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of dimensions and high efficiency of light source.
