FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radio monitoring systems when solving the task of hidden determination of radio-frequency source (RFS) coordinates in conditions of a priori uncertainty relative to polarization and spatial parameters of radio signals, noise and interference, when requirements are met for minimization of overall dimensions of direction-finding antenna system, in particular for determination of RFS coordinates from aircraft (AC) board. Method is based on measurement by CTOAS of orthogonal components Ex1, Ey1, Ez1 of electric field intensity vector , as well as orthogonal components Hx1, Hy1, Hz1 of magnetic field intensity on board AC at time t1, determination of orientation of vectors and in space, construction of auxiliary planes ΩE1 and ΩH1, constructing lines of position RFS l at intersection of auxiliary planes ΩE1 and ΩH1, selection of the Earth's surface as a surface of the RFS position, calculation of the RFS coordinates at the intersection point of the position line RFS l with the Earth's surface.
EFFECT: reduced time spent on determining coordinates of RFS, based on use of a combined tri-orthogonal antenna system (CTOAS), consisting of three antenna elements in form of asymmetrical dipole-type dipoles and three frame antenna elements.
