FIELD: radio engineering; electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in radio monitoring systems when solving the problem of hidden determination of radio-frequency source (RFS) coordinates under conditions of a priori uncertainty relative to polarization and spatial parameters of radio signals, noise and interference, when restrictions on overall dimensions of direction-finding antenna system are imposed, in particular for determination of coordinates of radio-frequency source from aircraft board. Method is based on CTOAS measurement of orthogonal components Ex1, Ey1, Ez1 and Ex2, Ey2, Ez2 vectors of electric field intensity and as well as orthogonal components Hx1, Hy1, Hz1 and Hx2, Hy2, Hz2 vectors of magnetic field intensity and at different points of spacecraft location space at moments of time t1 and t2, determining orientation of vectors , and in space, constructing auxiliary planes ΩE1, ΩE2, ΩH1 and ΩH2, construction of the RFS position lines ɭ1 and ɭ2 at intersection of auxiliary planes ΩE1, ΩH1 and ΩE2, ΩH2 respectively, calculating coordinates of radio-frequency sources at the intersection of lines of position of radio-frequency source ɭ1 and ɭ2.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of radio-frequency sources based on use of a combined tri-orthogonal antenna system (CTOAS), consisting of three antenna elements in form of asymmetrical dipole-type dipoles and three frame antenna elements.
