FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and is intended for use in radio monitoring systems when solving the problem of hidden determination of coordinates of a radio-frequency source (RFS) from an aircraft (AC). Result is achieved by placing a tri-orthogonal dipole antenna system (TODAS) on a space-movable AC; using TODAS, measuring orthogonal components Ex1, Ey1, Ez1, Ex2, Ey2, Ez2, Ex3, Ey3, Ez3 and Ex4, Ey4, Ez4 vectors of electric field intensity at moments of time t1, t2, t3 and t4, determining orientation of vectors in space, constructing of auxiliary planes ΩE1, ΩE2, ΩE3 and ΩE4, constructing lines of position of the RFS l1 and l2 and calculating the coordinates of the RFS at the point of intersection of the position lines of the RFS l1 and l2.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of a radio-frequency source based on the use of a space-displacing AC equipped with a TODAS.
