FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used in patients with exomphalos and epigastric hernias if the diameter of hernial orifice is more than 2 cm. Without dissection of the hernia defect after separation of the peritoneum under it from the abdominal wall into the prepared space lay "light" (25-50 g/m2) mesh synthetic nonabsorbable implant. Implant is amplified by flat absorbable film which is stable retaining its shape in the expanded position. Hernia defect is edge-to-edge sealed with uninterrupted suture, while in the first, middle and last stitch pick up the central part of the underlain mesh implant.
EFFECT: method prevents reherniation.
