METHOD FOR FIXING SYNTHETIC TRANSPLANT IN PREPERITONEAL PLASTIC SURGERY OF VENTRAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00 A61F2/00

SUBSTANCE: hernia sac is isolated and dissected, its content is immersed into the abdominal cavity. The abdomen integrity is restored. A space for a mesh is formed in pre-abdominal layer by exfoliating the abdomen from aponeurosis. The mesh is fixed by carrying a tool for suturing trocar wounds through a skin puncture in the projection of the mesh edges into the pre-abdominal layer, removing one end of the thread above the outer leaf of aponeurosis and re-introducing it into the pre-abdominal space laterally by 6-8 mm. The mesh is fixed by tying the thread ends with 4-5 knots, wherein the thread ends are tied in pre-abdominal space under the vision control.

EFFECT: method allows increasing the effectiveness of ventral hernia treatment by reducing the traumatism of the operation and facilitating the knot tying, allows visually controlling the degree of ligature tension and the knot quality, reducing the number of complications associated with traumatism of subcutaneous fat.
