FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: series of inventions relates to medicine. Device for an ophthalmic lens with an insert with variable optical properties, which insert is located in the section of the optical zone of the ophthalmic lens device, which comprises: a curved front surface and a curved rear surface, wherein the front and rear surfaces are made with the possibility of forming a chamber; power source with variable optical properties built into the insert in the section containing the non-optical zone; and an alignment layer, located inside the chamber, which layer contains liquid crystal material sections. Alignment layer is made in such a way that the alignment of molecules in the alignment layer interact with liquid crystal molecules in the sections of liquid crystal material to form a smoothly varying cycloidal structure through the first part of the insert with variable optical properties from the first orientation in the centre of the lens to the second orientation farther along the radial axis. Versions of the ophthalmic lens device contain electrode layers.
EFFECT: using the given group of inventions enables the range of contact and intraocular lense devices to be expanded.
