FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of deformations and can be used during testing of articles made from fragile materials, for example ceramic cowlings. Sensor for measuring displacement and deformation is fixed with rigid glue on dry surface of one-side adhesive tape with a rigid base fixed on surface of investigated structure, wherein area of adhesive tape is selected from condition: Fe<<S1⋅τ1≤S2⋅τ2<S2⋅τ3, where Fe is maximum value of reaction force of elastic element of sensor for measuring displacement and deformation; S1 is area of adhesion of sensor for measuring displacement and deformation; τ1 is value of shear stress at which occurs disturbed gluing of rigid base of adhesive tape with a sensor for measuring displacement and deformation; τ2 is value of shear stress at which occurs disturbed gluing of adhesive tape with surface of object; τ3 is value of limit shear stress at which occurs mechanical destruction of surface of object, for example moistureproof coating (MPC), or chipped on object surface, etc, where τ2<τ3; S2 is area of gluing of adhesive tape to surface of object.
EFFECT: avoiding damage to integrity of object surface and high reliability of results of measuring displacement and deformation of test object when investigating stress-strain state of full-sized fairings of missiles.
