METHOD OF LOCATING VSAT COMMUNICATION NETWORK STATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01S5/02

Abstract RU 2606958 C1

FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, namely, to methods of locating radio-frequency sources, and can be used in designing systems for determining location of a VSAT communication networks station. Technical result is achieved due to that the method of determining location of a VSAT communication network station according to the invention is supplemented by that the time of interference is determined for a signal transmitted to the VSAT communication network station from a relay satellite. Then calculated are coordinates of the Sun in the geocentric coordinate system and coordinates of the relay satellite. Calculated are coordinates of the VSAT communication network station by solving a system of nonlinear equations of the second order. Determined are geographic coordinates of the VSAT communication network station.

EFFECT: technical result of the method of determining location of a VSAT communication network station is higher accuracy of determining location of the VSAT communication network station under the conditions of relaying radio signals through an artificial Earth satellite on a geostationary orbit and absence of EMD to this station on the side of a radio monitoring station.
