FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combined methods of processing, combining mechanical and electrochemical action on machined workpiece, and can be used in diamond-electrochemical polishing of parts made from hard steels and alloys. Grinding is performed with a rotating diamond wheel on metal binder with activation action on interelectrode interval. Activating action is performed by applying alternating ultrasonic vibrations in low-frequency and medium-frequency ultrasonic ranges, wherein low-frequency range is selected from range of 15–50 kHz with intensity of 2–5 W/cm2, a medium-frequency range within range of 100–300 kHz with intensity 0.5–5 W/cm2.
EFFECT: increased resistance of diamond wheel, higher quality and efficiency of processing.
