FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of electropolishing surfaces of parts from metals and alloys and can be used for processing surfaces of blades of turbomachines for improving their operational characteristics. Proposed method comprises immersing the part in conducting medium and supplying opposite sign of electric potentials to the part and conducting medium through electrode introduced therein. Electroconductive medium used is a tape made of fibers of anion-impurities impregnated with electrolyte solution, which provides conductivity of the tape and ionic removal of metal from the part surface with removal of microprojections, using an electrode embracing the machined part surface with a gap, moving the tape in the gap, contacting the entire polished part surface with the tape and the tape with the electrode, electric potentials opposite to the sign are supplied to the part and to the electrode, which ensure ion breakdown of the metal from the surface of the part and its polishing when moving in the tape gap to obtain the specified roughness of the surface and rounding of the projections.
EFFECT: higher quality and reliability of electropolishing.
