SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for determining gas concentration, which is capable of obtaining accurate concentration of sulphur oxide (SOX) contained in exhaust gases of internal combustion engine. Device for determining gas concentration includes an element for determining gas concentration and electronic control unit. Element for determining gas concentration includes a first electrochemical element. Electronic control unit is configured to determine concentration of sulphur oxide, contained in analysed gas, based on a first determined value, coordinated with current, flowing through first electrochemical element, obtained when first specified voltage is applied to first electrochemical element. First specified voltage is voltage at which water and sulphur oxide, contained in analysed gas, are decomposed at first electrode of first electrochemical element. Invention provides creation of a device for determining gas concentration, which is capable of determining concentration of sulphur oxide contained in exhaust gases, which are analysed gas, high accuracy when using a gas analyser of limit current.

EFFECT: invention provides creation of a device for determining gas concentration, which is capable of determining concentration of sulphur oxide contained in exhaust gases, which are analysed gas, high accuracy when using a gas analyser of limit current.
