SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, namely, to vehicle energy consumption determining method and system. Method includes stages, at which when vehicle moves in first direction estimating, energy consumed as a result of first braking force, which prevents vehicle movement in said direction and energy representation accumulation during said vehicle travel, consumed as a result of said first braking force. Then estimating energy, consumed as a result of at least another braking force, which counteracts vehicle movement in said direction and accumulates energy representation during said vehicle movement, consumed as a result of said at least another braking force. Also determining consumed energy division between said braking forces, and estimating said vehicle driving based on said division.
EFFECT: enabling possibility to obtain information on vehicle energy consumption taking into account various factors.
