SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to oncourology. Before introduction of ultrasonographic probe into rectum in tessellated space between fascia Denonvile and prostate capsule 20 ml of 0.5 % solution of novocaine is introduced with standard needle of disposable syringe at distance of thumb width from anus at 10–12 hours of conditional clock face to the right and at 12–2 hours of conditional clock face to the left.

EFFECT: method allows to safe and quickly relieve pain for transrectal prostate biopsy,without expensive consumables, including patients with chronic diseases of rectum and anal canal.
