FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents a host cell of filamentous fungus, derived from parent cell for producing a protein of interest, where a host cell includes genetic modification in Sfb3 gene, which leads to production in a cell reduced amount of functional protein Sfb3 in comparison with parental cells or its absence, where a host cell produces, in process of aerobic fermentation in submerged culture, cell broth, that (i) requires reduced number of agitations for maintaining preselected content of dissolved oxygen in comparison with parental cells and (ii) maintains content of dissolved oxygen at pre-selected number of agitations in comparison with parental cells.
EFFECT: invention reduces number of agitations when culturing cells, thus simplifying process of producing protein of interest.
