FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for absorbing radiation in optical wavelength range. Cylindrical housing is open on one side of inner cavity, in which there is a conical element facing by its tip towards input radiation. Housing and conical element are coaxial bodies of revolution. Inner space of housing is a conical cavity which narrows inside housing. Surface of conical cavity and surface of conical element have regular recesses, forming a continuous corrugation of said surfaces. Profile of recesses has a configuration which provides multiple reflection of input radiation at angles deliberately excluding spurious radiation output from device. Housing is made from material with high heat conductivity, and conical element is made of material with low coefficient of linear expansion. Surface of conical cavity of housing and surface of conical element are coated with ammonium molybdate. On external surface of housing there are circular bores for air cooling.
EFFECT: higher absorption capacity of device and broader capabilities of its application, including for absorption of radiation of various wavelengths of optical range.
