SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. Mobile station comprises a processing core, configured to determine that preference information associated with the mobile station has changed and a receiver, configured to receive a handover instruction instructing the mobile station to handover to a second base station; wherein the processing core is configured to cause the transmitter to inform the second base station of the changed information only if at most a predefined length of time elapses between the determination and associating with the second base station.

EFFECT: technical result is reduced error conditions, generated in handover processes, base stations will be able to refrain from configuring mobile stations with suboptimal configurations.
