FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biochemistry, particularly to method of modifying LacZ gene of Escherichia coli. For implementation of method DNA fragment containing coding area of LacZ gene is obtained by means of polymerase chain reaction using oligonucleotide primers, making it possible to introduce additional GGA codon coding glycine immediately after initiating codon ATG.
EFFECT: present method enables to adapt said gene for its expression in cells Yarrowia lipolytica.
