TRANSMISSION NODE AND BUFFER STATUS REPORTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H04W8/22

Abstract RU 2610250 C2

FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the buffer status reporting. Method includes the steps of: classifying at least two RLC objects included in the transmission node as at least one first RLC object and one second RLC object, where all RLC objects are associated with a PDCP object included in the transmission node; and in case, when the first RLC object buffer includes data intended for transmission, generating the first BSR buffer status report basing on the size of the data intended for transmission in the first RLC object buffer and transmitting the generated first BSR to the reception node corresponding to the first RLC object. As the result of the first RLC object classification and the second RLC object classification the second RLC object is exclusively associated with the PDCP object buffer status reporting. This allows to achieve that only one reception node is initiated for selection of a corresponding resource for transmission to data intended for transmission, when the data intended for transmission are present in the PDCP object buffer.

EFFECT: elimination of false expenditure of resources for transmission over a radio network, in which transmitting and receiving nodes are under one-to-many dependence.
