SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to orthopaedics. Access to metatarsophalangeal joint of deformed toe is realised. Metatarsophalangeal joint is opened and diaphysis of metatarsal bone is exposed at the level of supposed operation. Transverse osteotomy of metatarsal bone is performed at the level of its distal third, sawing being realised parallel to articular surface of main phalange of deformed toe in frontal plane at level of 90 degrees to horizontal axis of metatarsal bone. With 0.5 cm indent proximally from performed osteotomy, second transverse osteotomy of metatarsal bone is realised, in frontal plane at angle of 90 degrees to horizontal axis of metatarsal bone, with resection of part of diaphysis in form of wedge. Head of metatarsal bone is moved to place of removed bone wedge and physiological position of deformed toe is created by additional movement or movements of metatarsal bone head, including its rotation. Metatarsal bone head is fixed in position of achieved correction, for this purpose first, Kirschner wire is passed through metatarsal bone head into its bone marrow canal, and then chondral layer of articular surface of metatarsal bone head is drilled with cannulated drill and metatarsal bone head is fixed to its diaphysis with cannulated, self-drilling, compressing screw, which is passed on preliminarily installed Kirschner wire.

EFFECT: method prevents recurrence of deformation and postoperative complications.
