SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control device for internal combustion engine downstream of catalyst having oxidation function equipped with filter. Device includes: control unit performing control over oxygen concentration reducing in order to reduce oxygen concentration in exhaust gases supplied to catalyst, based on request for downstream of catalyst exhaust gases temperature increasing, which is performed when filter regeneration is carried out, wherein control unit is made with possibility to obtain concentration value S in fuel combusting in internal combustion engine, and oxygen concentration is established based on concentration value S. Accordingly, white smoke generated as result of chemical reaction between SO3 and H2O, can be suppressed during filter regeneration performance.
EFFECT: technical result is white smoke suppression arising as a result of chemical reaction between SO3 and H2O during filter regeneration performance.
