SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engine control devices. Control device for internal combustion engine includes a unit for obtaining oxygen concentration in cylinders, configured to obtain oxygen concentration in cylinders, a unit for obtaining temperature in cylinders configured to obtain temperature in cylinders, a unit for obtaining target temperature in cylinders configured to obtain a target temperature in cylinders during main injection based on oxygen concentration in cylinders, obtained by unit for obtaining oxygen concentration in cylinders , and a unit for controlling oxygen concentration in cylinders configured to control oxygen concentration during pre-injection, performed prior to main injection, based on difference between target temperature in cylinders during main injection obtained by unit for obtaining target temperature in cylinders and temperature in cylinders, obtained by unit for obtaining temperature in cylinders.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling operation of an internal combustion engine using fuel with low cetane number.
