ACCOMMODATIVE INTRAOCULAR LENS AND METHOD FOR ITS IMPLANTATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61F2/16

Abstract RU 2610545 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Accommodative intraocular lens (AIOL) is intended for implantation into crystalline lens capsule and contains: outer shell with front and rear surfaces, connected by flexible hinge on periphery of AIOL; filling material; valve, configured to allow filling material injection; acute peripheral angle, with possibility of eye crystalline lens capsule fixation for reduction of posterior capsule opacity; and unit for transmission of forces with stiffening plate, unit for force transmission is configured to transmit forces from eye crystalline lens capsule for changing shape of outer shell filled in accordance with changes in shape of eye crystalline lens capsule. Front and rear surfaces of outer shell determine inner cavity, which is filled with filling material for expansion of outer shell section edges for contact with crystalline lens capsule. Outer shell includes surface modification at periphery. Surface modification is made for stimulation of eye crystalline lens capsule cell growth and is attached to crystalline lens capsule, linking eye crystalline lens capsule with outer shell. Outer shell is configured to provide forcing on outer shell, while eye crystalline lens capsule linking with outer shell. There is a cavity between flexible joint and eye crystalline lens capsule. Surface modification includes one or more coating surface texturing, and biocompatible adhesive.

EFFECT: use of given invention allows to increase strength of mechanical connection between capsule and AIOL.
