FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to research of materials mechanical and thermal properties. Method of material linear expansion temperature coefficient determining provides for displacement relative to each other of analyzed material sample and sample surface heating source. During displacement performing sample surface heating with periodic change of heating power density and measuring amplitude of sample surface deformation due to heating. According to measurements results and taking into account of sample density and volumetric heat capacity linear expansion temperature coefficient value is calculated. Method implementation device comprises sample arrangement platform, heating source made with possibility of heating power density changing, at least, one sample surface deformation amplitude sensor and system of sample, heating source and surface deformation amplitude sensors mutual displacement.
EFFECT: increasing accuracy and efficiency of heterogeneous materials linear expansion temperature coefficient determining at non-stationary heating of their samples surface with simultaneous obtaining of data on samples resilient and thermal properties within same measurement.
