FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to units for heating samples of materials and methods for measuring their heat capacity and thermal conductivity, including in the high temperature range. To ensure the possibility of measuring the thermophysical properties of materials in the high temperature region and to ensure the possibility of detecting local inhomogeneities and defects in the structure of materials, including those that appear during sudden temperature changes (heating and cooling), using heating with a laser source in inert environments and using non-contact registration of material parameters from the back and front surfaces of the sample, heating of the sample under study is carried out by a laser source with the ability to spatio-temporally modulate the radiation density. The temperature of the sample is recorded using high-speed heat flow sensors, which are located on the back and side surfaces of the sample under study, the values of which determine the thermal conductivity and heat capacity of the material under study.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of determining the sample surface temperature with high accuracy and high time resolution.
