FIELD: test and measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to instrumentation and can be used for non-contact real-time measurement of specific electric conductivity, as well as materials dielectric and magnetic permeabilities. Method of materials electromagnetic parameters measuring consists in fact, that controlled material is probed by pulsed directed electromagnetic signal, receiving reflected signal, which is analyzed by processing device, wherein performing reflected pulse spectral decomposition, in spectral composition selecting two measuring references of frequency ωi, ωi+1 in range , where τ is probing pulse duration, on said frequencies determining amplitude A(ωi), A(ωi+1) and phase ϕ(ωi), ϕ(ωi+1) components of spectral composition, required parameters: specific electrical conductivity εx, dielectric σx and magnetic μx permeability of material is determined based on proposed equations combined solution.

EFFECT: non-contact immediate measurement of specific electric conductivity.
