FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to immunology and paediatrics and is intended for diagnostics of thymomegaly in children. PCR is performed in real time mode with application of respective primers and fluorescently labelled oligonucleotide with the following estimation of number of T-receptor excision rings (TRER) copies by standard curve, built by dilution of plasmid, presented by SEQ ID NO: 1 with known concentration of TRER DNA. Thymomegaly is diagnosed, if reduction of TRER level is lower than 25.36 copies per 1 thousand lymphocytes in children at the age to 2 years, lower than 14.71 copies per 1 thousand lymphocytes in children at the age of 3-6 years and lower than 4.82 copies per 1 thousand lymphocytes in children at the age of 7-10 years.

EFFECT: invention ensures effective determination of thymomegaly in children by TRER level, which makes it possible to prescribe immunecorrective therapy in due time.
