FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: to study the elementary status of cattle in different time periods the fur samples are taken from the upper part of the animal's withers from the skin area of 5×5 cm2 with the length L from the hair root, which is calculated taking into account the rate of hair growth from the root by the formula L=S×I, where L is a distal distance measured from the hair root, mm; S is the hair growth rate, mm/day; I is the time period under study, days.
EFFECT: method enables to study the elementary status of cattle in different time periods of the animal's life for timely adjustment of the imbalance of the chemical elements.
