FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: combine harvester for harvesting root and tuber crops comprises a top-cutting device and a separating device. The top-cutting device is mounted on copying wheels. Vertical disc cutters are mounted behind the top cutting device. The diameter of the cutters makes it possible to cut the soil layer to the depth of the location of roots and tubers. The cutters are mounted on an axis. The axis is fixed on the hinge frame. The frame is fixed on row spacings of crops to be harvested, with the possibility of adjusting the cutter mounting by depth. Cutting ploughshares are fixed behind the cutters at the depth of their cutting. The ploughshares are coupled with a chain-slat conveyor. A chain-roller conveyor with toothed rollers is mounted on the hinge frame over the ploughshares and the chain-slat conveyor. The rollers are installed on slats by means of sliding bearings. The teeth of the rollers and the slats of the chain-slat conveyor are covered with elastic resilient material. The chain-roller conveyor and the drive chain of the chain-slat conveyor are driven from a gearbox through chain drives. The chain-slat conveyor is mounted on a frame by means of a rotary axis. The output units of the chain-roller and the chain-slat conveyors are arranged in the inner cavity of the drum loading conveyor. The drum conveyor has annular rods and tuber-gripping slats. In the upper part of the drum conveyor, a receiving-pitched tray for laying roots and tubers in vehicles is provided. The lower unit of the chain-and-slat conveyor is arranged by means of sliding bearings on the axis of the vertical disk cutters. In the front part of the frame, the gearbox of a drum cutting apparatus drive is mounted on a bracket. The cutting apparatus is mounted on arms and is driven from a gearbox through a chain drive. The cutting apparatus is controlled through a hydraulic cylinder. Unitizing the combine harvester for roots and tubers is made through frame eyelets. The drive of all mechanisms of the combine harvester is made from the power takeoff shaft of the tractor. The chain-slat conveyor has fencing sides. Soil-destroying rollers are provided in the upper part of the cutting ploughshare, in front of the coupling with the chain-slat conveyor.

EFFECT: increased productivity, reduced draft resistance, complete separation of roots and tubers from the soil.
