FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, in particular, to the composition of biologically active food additives (BAA) for iodine deficit prophylactics. BAA contains the following components, % wt.: potassium iodide - 25.41, molecular iodine - 19.43, inulin - 55.16. Wherein molar ratio of inulin, molecular iodine and potassium iodide is 4:1:2, and the total content of iodine in the BAA amounts to 29.14 % wt.
EFFECT: invention provides for the increased iodine content and its better bioavailability due to the production of the composition containing stable biologically active inorganic iodine forms.
