FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, in particular, to production of biologically active food additives. Biologically active additive production method is characterized by that iodine is added to an aqueous solution of rebaudioside A and stirred at 28–32 °C in a flask under reflux for 1–2 hours. Solution is filtered and dried to form a complex containing, wt. %: molecular iodine - 12.4, rebaudioside A - 87.6. Molar ratio of molecular iodine to rebaudioside A is 1:2.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce storage stable iodine-containing biologically active food additive compatible with food technologies.
