FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, in particular, to production of biologically active food additives. Method for producing a biologically active food supplement by iodine iodination to form an inulin and iodine clathrate involves reaction of potassium iodide, crystalline iodine and inulin. Six-link inulin (n = 6) is used, reaction between reagents is carried out at room temperature. First, dry powdered inuline is added with dry potassium iodide, powders are ground until homogeneous, then crystalline iodine is added. Mixture is re-ground until formation of a product containing, wt. %: inulin 81.1, crystalline iodine 7.2, potassium iodide 11.7. Total content of iodine in the biologically active food additive is equal to 16.1 wt. %.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce a biologically active food additive with a wide range of biologically active inorganic iodine forms stabilized in a biocompatible organic matrix of inulin polysaccharide, molecules of which have a reduced mass range.
