SUBSTANCE: invention relates generally to databases and in particular to recommendations of data enrichments for databases. In method of recommending data enrichments for a database a request to provide recommendations of data enrichments for a database is received. Metadata for database are analysed, wherein metadata determine structure of database. First data enrichment is recommended, based on analysis of metadata. Second data enrichment is suggested, based on similarity between first data enrichment and second data enrichment. Data source is identified, which can provide second data enrichment, by comparing characteristics of first access and second access, with which data are obtained for second data enrichment from two different sources, selection of suitable access based on said comparison and determining an identifier for source of data enrichment, associated with said access.
EFFECT: technical result is providing recommendations on data enrichments for a database.
