FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method includes biochemical patient's blood test, where level of methylglyoxal-modified low-density lipoproteids is determined by enzyme immunoassay immunometric sandwich assay method. After that level of methylglyoxal-modified low-density lipoproteids in tested sample is calculated in conventional units relative to control sample (cut-off): OD450 sample/OD450 cut-off. If value is ≥1, conclusion about presence of diabetes mellitus is made.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and accuracy of diabetes mellitus diagnostics and realisation of control of efficiency of performed therapy of said disease.
