FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Device for application of energy to patient's body comprises bushing with through channel, mounting structure at its one end and rod with through longitudinal gap attached to bushing. Rod has proximal end attached to bushing connected with channel and distal end extending from bushing. Rod at least at part of inner surface and at least at part of outer surface has electrically conducting material. Conducting element has longitudinal axis and it is attached to mounting structure coupled with mounting structure of bushing so, that conducting element passes through channel into gap so, that at least near bushing longitudinal axis of conducting element is spaced from longitudinal axis of gap, which promotes development of electric contact between external surface of conductive element and inner surface of rod.
EFFECT: electrosurgical device with offset conducting element is disclosed.
