FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of foam plastic panels for production of foamed films. Disclosed is a method of producing foam panels for the production of foamed films consisting of foam plastic, which consists in using foam plastic with an average cell diameter measured in accordance with ASTM D 3576, ranging from 20 mcm to 250 mcm, and 1 m2 contains less than 20 cells with diameter of more than 260 mcm, and relative elongation at break of foam panels is from 4% to 13%, when measured in accordance with ASTM D 638, wherein the polymer of which the foam is made has a glass transition temperature Tg of at least 100 °C and is selected from the group consisting of polyethersulphone, polyphenylsulphone, polyetheretherketone, poly(meth)acrylimide, polymethyl(meth)acrylate, polyether imide, polysulphone, polyurethanes, polyethylene terephthalate and mixtures thereof, as well as copolymers thereof, wherein the following steps are carried out: removing the surface layer of the foam block, and the remaining part of the foam plastic block is cut into foam plastic panels with thickness of 60 mm to 135 mm.
EFFECT: implementation of the purpose, wherein the obtained panels should be suitable, in particular, for the production of foamed films from the obtained panels with thickness of less than 3 mm, and separation of the foam plastic panels should be carried out without forming sawdust.
