FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for growth retardation and fetal macrosomia prediction for pregnant women with diabetes includes determination of the glucose content in the venous blood of pregnant women at gestational age, starting from 24 weeks, by a three-hour glucose tolerance test, the volume of placenta by ultrasound, resistance index of uterine artery by the ultrasonography method, fetopathy F coefficient is calculated according to the formula: where V is the volume of placenta, as determined by ultrasound placentometry (cm3), IR is the resistance index of uterine artery as determined by Doppler ultrasound, TGTT is glucose level, determined during a three-hour glucose tolerance test (mmol/l), GA is the gestational age (weeks), if the fetopathy F coefficient is more than 2.0, development of fetal macrosomia is predicted, if the fetopathy F coefficient is less than 0.5 development of growth retardation is predicted.
