FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in multilevel converters. Multilevel power converter includes: n input stages (Ein_n), where n is greater or equal to 1, and each input stage comprises n+1 identical input converters (CONVx_En), connected to each other, wherein input converters have same topology, selected from structures NPC (Neutral Point Clamped), ANPC (Active Neutral Point Clamped), NPP (Neutral Point Piloted) and SMC (Stacked Multicell Converter); output stage (Eout) connected to input stage rank 1 and including output converter (CONVS), powered by differential voltage Vfloat, generated by first electric potential, applied to output o first input of converter of input stage rank 1, and second electric potential applied to output of second input converter of input stage rank 1, wherein output converter (CONVS) has a topology, selected from structure with floating capacitor (FC), SMC (Stacked Multicell Converter), NPC (Neutral Point Clamped), NPP (Neutral Point Piloted) and ANPC (Active Neutral Point Clamped).
EFFECT: enabling operation at high voltages without using transformers and with maximum limited number of passive components.
